A good choice for adults looking for something a bit quieter, although the walled town of Alcudia - capital of Majorca during Roman times - is just 10 minutes away by taxi.Area:The beach at Alcudia is 6 miles long and stretches as far as C'an Picafort. Alcudia joins onto Playa de Muro which is home to S'Albufera; a nature reserve that is protected. This is very popular with bird-spotters.From the Port D'alcudia you can take boat trips around parts of the island and also catch a ferry to Menorca and also Barcelona, on a daily basis.Recreation:Alcudia is also home to Bellevue complex which is the largest resort in Europe; it is very crowded and cheap and cheerful but there is endless entertainment. Aside from Bellevue there are numerous bars and restaurants; some mallorquin, some British, some German, some Scandinavian; some Chinese; there is something for everyone.If you want a quiet day, enjoy yourself at the hotel’s swimming pool, lounge at the bar, or treat yourself to the various entertaining sport activities the hotel has to offer.
